Forums - Microsoft - Is Halo 4 multiplayer a flop?

No. It's just that 90% of modern gamers prefer easy & stress free multiplayer. Halo is too complicated for them.

Times of multiplayer games that needed more skill are long gone.

Halo's multiplayer is almost as simple as COD. Go play TF2, Counterstrike, Tribes Ascend, Dust 514, or Quake Live if you want a difficult multiplayer experience.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I never played Halo multiplayer much, but as far as a campaign it was my favorite.

This is probably the same experience most Halo 4 have had, when you look at those numbers. Good sales, not as good multiplayer numbers.

Maybe you should play it yourself and find out instead of talking out your ass. If someone is going to make a thread like this it should at least be someone that plays Halo, that way they actually hold some credibility. All this is a jab at Halo, nothing more nothing less.

It isn't a "flop" on any level ot on any measure that any reasonable person could comment on.

This.

The 4 games ahead of it are Black Ops II, Minecraft, FIFA, and MW3. That's 2 other MP driven shooters which have each massively outsold Halo 4 on 360, and 2 SP/MP driven games that are very popular.

Thread is stupid.

I am just not into many multiplayer games. I don't know how good or bad the multiplayer is compred to other Halos. Half my friends play COD on Xbox and the other half play Battlefield on PS3. Other than that there isn't much going on for multiplayer games. I use to be a HUGE Socom 3/Combined Assualt guy on the PS2, but we know what happened to that franchise.

I just think anyone who plays game online now are either playing COD or Battlefield. Other than that no one stands a chance. However Halo will always sell so Microsoft doesn't need to worry about that.

man do people try hard to find negative stuff about other consoles or games not part of their gaming world. yes modern warefare 3 has more players but many cod players buy only one cod every second year. halo is not a huge flop, cod is just a massive success.

Is that why Call of Duty keeps breaking records every year? Sorry but you're wrong.

not sure what this has to do with my logic behind it. iphone is also breaking records every year and it still sells only every second year to many people. it's obviously not exactly like that for cod and more cod player buy every game but still, you didn't prove anything wrong lol

and when i look at my friends list on xbox many buy only every second game. (only the infinity wards games or only the treyarch games)

Why is Bioshock Infinite on the list? loool

Either way I don't think that makes it a flop. It may just mean a fair percent of Halo owners only really care about the single player. I touched the multiplayer a few times, theres nothing wrong with it, I'm just more of a single player guy.

Bioshock Infinite is on the list because it is counted if you are signed in while playing. It doesn't have to be a multiplayer game to be counted on the charts.

So single-player sessisons are also being counted in this chart for Halo 4.

I think the MP is better in Halo 2 or Halo 3 but the SP is really good.

Black Ops 2 sales - 11.90 million
Minecraft sales - 6 million+
FIFA 13 sales - 4.50 million
Modern Warfare 3 sales - 14.88 million
Halo 4 sales - 7.98 million

FIFA 13 didn't massively outsell Halo 4, in fact its the opposite. Halo 4 massively outsold Fifa 13. How come FIFA is 2 spots above Halo 4, a multiplayer driven shooter?

Halo 4 is awesome as hell, campaign and multiplayer vise
