Hehe, except for one key point.  The psp sold well at 250, the ps3 did not sell well at 600 but in fact didn't sell well until the price was cut to 300.  So actually I'm comparing the ps4's 400 dollar price with the ps3's 300 dollar price.

yea but the previous year to the $299 price cut(2009) we saw the PS3 outselling the 360 for the majority of the year(2008) when PS3 was priced at $399 and 360 priced at like $249.99(i believe). This was a PS3 that started off slow and had the image of not selling software due to starting at 600, it had the smallest library and all its games ran worse than other version. PS3 was also getting bad press EVERYWHERE at its high ass price and what not

Software (both games and apps) will sell the system, the psv isn't selling because it literally is a psp with better graphics, the 3ds added several new features like spot pass, that changed the way we play handheld gaming and thus made it a success.  3d had nothing to do with it.  Next generation will be decided by software, end of story.  I don't care if the ps4 is 400 or 100 dollars, without the right software it will not sell.

 Although if it was priced at 100 dollars it wouldn't need as much software to sell:P

I dont think spot pass made 3ds sell. I'm pretty sure it sold when it got the combination of that $80 price cut and signature Mario games. I dont own a Vita but i'm pretty sure the Vita brought something new

what does them being 3rd party have to do with it?? if GTA 6 comes out on PS4,720,WII U AND PC then that STILL means that it is on the PS4 which includes it in the PS4 library.

The 360 only had more games than ps3 because it started the HD gen off and got the year head start which allowed it to establish that 1st year library of games by the time PS3 came out.

This wont happen with PS4 because it is pretty much starting the next-next-gen THIS holiday season and i'm sure M$ will be there aswell. They will most likely launch at the same time so 720 wont have the opportunity to establish a year head start on its library over PS4. It will be about the exclusives FROM JUMP

Wii U hasn't really established anything with its year head start yet. all its really been getting are select games that we could already play on previous gen consoles for the most part

Hey, I originally commented on all of your posts, but this debate is getting tiredsome, I think you made some good points, and some really bad points:P  but all in all, if you wanna wager on whether the ps4 will surpass the ps3 in sales during it's lifetime, I'd be more than happy too.  I think your a total nutcase for thinking the ps4 will even come within 20 million of the ps3, but hey, you think i'm mad:P  Anyways, this was a fun debate, but when a posts nearly stretches to the end of the page, you know you've been debating too long:P
