The PS4 is almost factually going to have the best library of games out of the big 3 overall so games wont be a problem

Sorry bud, but 400 bucks is still 400 bucks, i'm sure a lot of sony fans will be happy that they don't have to fork over 600 dollars, but if the vita couldn't sell at 250 for being a psp 2.0, the ps4 won't sell at 400 for being a ps3 2.0.

The Vita(psp 2.0) launched at the same price as its predecessor(PSP) which was 249.99

 

The PS3 launched at $599 and the PS4 would have to also launch $599 for this logic to apply

Hehe, except for one key point.  The psp sold well at 250, the ps3 did not sell well at 600 but in fact didn't sell well until the price was cut to 300.  So actually I'm comparing the ps4's 400 dollar price with the ps3's 300 dollar price.

yea but the previous year to the $299 price cut(2009) we saw the PS3 outselling the 360 for the majority of the year(2008) when PS3 was priced at $399 and 360 priced at like $249.99(i believe). This was a PS3 that started off slow and had the image of not selling software due to starting at 600, it had the smallest library and all its games ran worse than other version. PS3 was also getting bad press EVERYWHERE at its high ass price and what not

This wont happen with PS4.

 

The Wii was the new kid on the block and was selling crazy due to the motion controls and what not

 

Wii was priced at $250 when PS3 was priced at $600 when they launched. that's a big ass $350 difference

 

PS4 will launch a lot closer to the Wii U's price if it launches at $399.

 

I believe Ninty will cut the price of the Wii U this year to $250 making it a $150 difference(if it happens)

Wii U wont reach the success of the Wii..

 

So actually I'm comparing the ps4's 400 dollar price with the ps3's 300 dollar price.

That's not really fair because your comparing the start of PS4 to the pretty much mid lifetime of ps3. Ps3 also had its Slim version out by that time so i dont see how anyone could try to compare them that way

 

And to add another point, name one console that sold well at a price above 300?
