Forums - Gaming - Atari Jaguar titles NOT coming to the PS4, Wii U or next Microsoft console. OUCH!

I can also confirm that my games aren't likely coming to the next gen consoles native either. Seems there just isn't enough horsepower to render stuff on half a checkerboard! To think, you can play them on dollar store equipment, but not next gen consoles. Dollar Store > next gen consoles for powa!

" lack the 64 BIT POWER! of the Jaguar." The Jaguar wasn't 64 bit, it had two 32 bit processors that the marketing team put a "+" between & an "=" after. 32+32=64.

The Jaguar actually had a 64 bit bus, that could technically make it a 64 bit.  Considering most of the coding was done to the 68000, the bulk of the games were 16 bit games.  And yes, it used the two 32 bit processors.

I see you did the math. ;)

We all know more bits means more fun!

...

By the way. the Intellivision was one of the first 16 bit videogame systems, if not the first.

Flamebait topic, and a pretty lame one at that. Stop pretending that Wii-U losing 3th party support doesn't matter, because for people who paid $300 for it, it does.(not me luckily).

I guess it's a good thing that I have a working Jaguar so I can still play Iron Soldier when I feel like punishing my eyes.

I was expecting this after AVGN took one huge shit on their console and cd add-on

Glad!1!! im not buyin any of thoose carppy consoals than!1!!1! They gona fale so hard!!1!

I freaking loved Raiden.

@richardhutnik. The Intellivision was, by basic definition, 16 bit, yet the 8 bit ColecoVision absolutely blew the Intellivision out of the water, as did every other 8 bit system subsequently released up until the 16 bit Sega Genesis, the first real 16 bit system, some 9 years later. The reason most people don't know the Intellivision was 16 bit is simple. It didn't matter. The overall Intellivision hardware was a baby-step above the 3 years older Atari 2600. 70's/80's rant. Love the Intellivision though. Snafu and Utopia FTW. Oh, and the the main reason the Coleco was so much better in spite of the "bit" disparity? System RAM. Which is, 30 years later a white-hot topic among the current video game fanbase. Sunrise-Sunset. :)
