The lowest selling game would matter because it shows some type of consistency, I would say.

I was basing what I said off of what was provided to me in the OP. (Which, I'm guessing, only shows last generation Home Console sales.)
The post Modern Warfare CoD fad seems to have lasted longer than the New Super Mario Bros fad looking at how NSMB has already puttered out with U. Imagine how many consoles an exclusive Modern Warfare 4 at console launch would've sold in comparison, it's not even close.
Man, all of this is totally unfair!
CoD is a yearly game and Mario is not that's unfair for Mario.
''Mario'' btw? you are listing all of the Mario games that came out on wii when those are all separated games not part of the same series some not even the same genre (while CoD games are) that's unfair for CoD.
CoD came out on 3 different platforms, ''Mario'' in just one that's unfair for Mario.
You listed as ''Mario'' games some that actually are not, they are crossovers that don't belong to a franchise (Mario & Sonic) that's unfair for CoD.

Every time a CoD game is released it breaks not only game records it breaks entertainment records it destroys the highest grossing movies in the first few days or so. Sure Mario is more iconic and in my opinion will last forever unlike CoD, but don't underestimate CoD's popularity even my parents know about CoD :p.
