Again, individual chart vs. all formats. 3DS + Wii U = 7th place.
this isnt much positive news

I think it's doing pretty piss poor. Of course it's far too early to doom it before Mario Kart and company hit, but that's entirely Nintendo's fault for arranging such a shitty, shitty, shitty launch. And it certainly doesn't justify the pathetic straw-grabbing that's going on in threads like this one. "OH WOW A WII U GAME ALMOST CRACKED THE TOP 10 IN THE WORLD'S MOST ANEMIC MARKET YIPPEE." This is Sony fan circa 2006 stuff. |
Yea, but why the fuck are you here?
Are you so lonely that you have to trawl for attention in a thread where your imput clearly isn't valuable, or wanted?
Besides, the real win was proof that Capcom and Nintendo are trying to boost MH interest in the West (perhaps it might be working). Maybe a brand new MH (4) will do alot better.
Was there any advertising for this game at all?
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I'm here to give the citizens of Nintendoland a dose of reality!
Are you seriously so defensive about a corporation that doesn't even know you exist that you can't handle an opinion that differs from yours?

The Vita has games and sold 50.000 units, but is still doomed! So Wii U has a long way to go.
I know, you're tired of those Wii U - Vita comparisons. But I was tired of "PS3 is teh greates Flop EVAAARRR" in 2007 and I was tired of "Vita is teh failz!" last year, so.... IN YOUR FACE! :P

god damn...badgenome dropping some truth bombs here :D
I do think this is good news tho...at least decent news. WiiU needed some new titles after the drought it had so hopefully these games will leg it out a bit.Now Ninty just needs to keep the games coming in and things will improve gradually

You're grasping at straws OP. Sure a Wii U game debut is good news but it's not like its lighting the charts on fire.
I think this success was the first and the most difficult step of recovery for the Wii U. The hardest days are now behind.
If a Wii U game is making the UK top ten, i see this as a step in the right direction.Let Wii U owners enjoy a bit of positive news, its not like we are proclaiming some sort of victory or anything.
