Forums - Gaming - Worst PS3/360 graphics? (Pics)

I'm seriously dissapointed that nobody posted "I Am Alive" pics. It looked absolutely horrible, also a horrible game imo but I know that the feedback was very mixed.
Overall definately not the best showcase from the Chinese developers from Ubisoft Shanghai.

Wh-WHAT?

I don't know what you're talking about. The graphics are average but beautiful in several places. For an arcade game with a worse record history than...don't know, Alien Colonial Marines, this is pretty damn impresive. (And remember, it is an arcade game.)

@Wright

Maybe it's the case about what SvennoJ said. It looks decent scaled down, but even only on my 32 inch TV it looks just so bad. The amount of jaggies, flicker, low res textures and low poly count overall and the 2D like background in the distance when you're outdoor is horrible.

About the arcade argument. Well none of these titles shown in the thread is AAA isin't it? So calling it "pretty damn impressive" no, no I just can't agree with that :D

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Homecoming and Saint Rows aren't AAA?

My TV is 34 inch full HD, and the game does not look jaw-dropping or anything like that. There's low res textures everywhere (Especially those skeletons dropped in the street), but I thought that overall, the game looked average and had its pretty, pretty moments. So for me it is pretty damn impressive, but you know what they say about taste!

Fair point about the SH and Saints Row, although I wouldn't say that Homecoming fits this list, personally. And totally agree anout the different tastes part. Cheers!

Yeah, I should have noticed that Homecoming doesn't have bad graphics xD

Graphics aside, why didn't you like I am Alive?

I may have had too big expectations, especially after the cool first trailer and some leaked gameplay if i remember correctly I thought it had so much potential... Should have lowered them, after all this developing hell that you mentioned.

What bothered me, except for the technical sub-parity (IMO) were the gameplay mechanics, expecially regarding traversals (the way he was geting tired, animations, all this was to simple. Should have made it a bit more complex imo) and enemies that supposedly had some great, complex AI. But I thought that the encounters were repetitive, one tactic usually got the job done. Aim + shoot the guy with the gun + get his ammo + aim again at the rest+ shoot another guy + melee kill the last one. And the last thing that dissapointed me were the linear levels and very little scavenging.

But well I guess I didn't buy the right game. I simply wanted to buy The Last of Us

Well, I gave it a plus for simply trying. Surviving an apocalipsis (Made by nature) is such a unique concept only few games have worked on. I think another game was Raw Danger.

for a 2006 launch title Genji 2 looks very impressive.

Worst looking (full) games I have played are

Silent hill Homecoming

No way was this a bad looking game.

Maybe my bad experience with the game has tainted my memories of the graphics?
I still don't find the screenshots very appealing, flat lighting, inconsistent shadows, maybe the ps3 version just looked bad.

Or it's simply personal opinion. I couldn't get into homecoming, yet I loved the second act of downpour.

My eyes... they burn.

Good grief, I've seen better looking PS2 shooters!
