Under-Powered - Nintendo ... 83 15.01%

iOS/Android/Steam are kil... 9 1.63%

I don't know - let me see the resultz 37 6.69%

It has a variety of problems though the three biggest I feel are lack of games, marketing and uncertain future. The first two are pretty straight forward with Nintendo pulling a Vita in America having the system have a dry spell of multiple months without a new game shortly after release, and marketing Nintendo just doesn't seem to really understand what they are trying to sell it as. The last one is the most concerning for me, since right now we have no clue if Nintendo will be able to get any third party games (outside of Ubisoft) or they will go down the route of the Wii with little to no 3rd party support.

Where is the option or wait and see, as people who would buy want to see what Microsoft and Sony have to offer before committing?

Lack of games is the main thing, no matter a systems shortcomings, it will do decent with some big Nintendo games.

The other big thing I think is lack of focus. The casual has all but abandoned them, and yet they make party games like Wii U party, Nintendo land, and Wii U fit. It's time to abandon them Nintendo. Focus on getting great core games on the system, and improving the online. The Wii U is a lot of bad decisions wrapped into one, but at least own those decisions, and make the best out of it by making games for Nintendo core, and gamers who are open minded enough to buy a Wii U if the games come.

You kinda needed an option of "multiple reasons listed".  I understand it is a "primary reason" poll, but there's too many factors are play really.

I voted for lack of games; but lack of marketing, lack of focus and potentially even the gamepad are restricting it at the minute, in my opinion.

If it was an option I think there would be immediate consensus on there being multiple options and that would defeat the poll's intent.

We all understand (or most of us anyway) that the lack of games IS an issue but it's more of a question of if it's the primary issue or does the WiiU just lack appeal due to other factors (Price/power/focus/gamepad/etc).

Hey man, the gamepad is, like, totally perfect for karaoke, dude. Just look how happy these people are.

...okay the creepy Miis are ruining it. And the monthly fee.

Excellent question.    I hadn't considered this but on the flip side I doubt this is a primary driver for WiiU's current sloth-like momentum.   But certainly another factor for sure.

Where is the "because of no interest" option? I don't think sales will increase as much as people are thinking it will even with the big franchises out

The lack of interest is devired from the other options in the poll. i.e: "I have no interest because it doesn't have any games I want" or "I have no interest because I want more power in my next gen console", etc.

No, Game Cube and N64 had games people wanted, n64 had power, both had the price, both had traditional controllers ect ect. I think Nintendo has a sales cap of 60m and the Wii captured a different set of consumers with it that wont be back.

Basically what I'm saying is, even without the gamepad, a lower cost, more games the Wii U would be selling on par with Nintendos other systems

As others have said, there are multiple factors. I voted "no games", as that's one area that will improve sales once the Mario titles come pouring out, regardless of everything else, but I could just as easily have voted for the gamepad not resonating with casuals and Nintendo's genre variety being too underwhelming for the core.

The Wii U's sales will improve. People are conditioned to playing Mario. For many people, Nintendo's figurehead franchises represent a primary association with video-games. However, I think the Wii was more of an anomaly than the GameCube and the normal baseline for a Nintendo console is going to fall closer to the latter than the former.

Primary reason? A tie between D and E, the others are all secondary. This was obvious from the start when they first showed the Gamepad, there is no room or desire for such a console on the market.
