It's kind funny how he listed No Religion and made it seemed like it's a bad thing as I think that's the smartest policy ever, and expected life to be worth more in a country of 1.3 billion people. I mean, sure, it sucks that happened, but don't list bullshit or obvious shit into the equation to try to get more supporters just because you got unlucky.

You think its the smartest policy ever to enforce No Religion?

Are you serious? I'm not very religios but people should be able to believe and practise what ever they want. As long as it doesnt encrouch on other peoples rights.

Never mix up the fundamental concept of religion with how extremists groups actually practise it. Its two completely differenct things.

You don't need religion to tell people to be nice and do good things, it's quiet a useless thing in modern days other than to feel better about death because a lot of people like to feel that there is something better beyond death so they don't go insane. The way religion is presented these days are wrong too, they used to be really good history logs as well, then somehow a lot of it turned into crazy ass fantasy and there are worshippers that really take them for granted. We are smart enough these days to not even need it, but most can't accept it due to fear. The extremists exist due to religion as well, so you can't say they are 2 different things, because it's their "just cause."

I agree you don't need religion for any of those things. But if people choose to believe in it then thats their thing you cant dictate to other people what they can and can't do thats ridiculous.

And also im not sure where this perception came from where religion is just way out of death. Most religions don't have a focus on death but focus much more on way of life. Some religions don't even offer life after death. I hate when people equate religion to christianity.

And also we were always smart enough to not need it. We have built in mechanisms in our brains that do this (froom what ive read anyways).

Extremists are extremists. You get them everywhere they are different things. Just because you get hooligans that cause havok at soccer games doesnt mean soccer = hooligans. It doesnt work that way. Thats waaay too general of a statement to make.

Anyways my point is not to argue religion but what you saying is something against a free will its as stupid and silly as religious extremists views.

Having free will only to be bound so as to not have free will, it makes sense in a sad way since I agree with your 3rd paragraph.

This guy calls this "the real china" because he killed somebody in a foreign country and didn't get special treatment. But he doesn't make a video titled "the real new zealand" when his country didn't do anything to help him. Save your money and don't buy his book. Besides, he has the eyes of a murderer judging by his video.

Not really surprised - you know all those futuristic films were heartless, militaristic mega-coorporations are ruling the world, and are sending their prisoners to asteroid mines...well, welcome to China...

I think if I were in prison I'd try for a rebellion and if no one joins me then I'll do it on my own. Grab a prison guard gun or knife hold him hostage or maybe try to sneak out.

He deserve to go to jail for what he did but sadly Chinese jails are one of the worlds worst so think hard before you engage in such violence. Sometimes swallowing pride is the best defense.

He should be glad he didn't try something like this in Dubai. He wouldn't be around to write a book about it.

I'm sorry but he should have done time for what he did. It's the price you have pay for taking someones life, "accidental" or not. And it would take some extreme force to kill someone like that. He must have went overboard.

Then there's the topic heading, christ if I were from China I'd find this topic very offensive. This isn't the real China, its just some guy who went to country, got into a fight and killed someone. The guy got off lightly, if anything.

Actually UAE prisons aren't too bad and probably much much better than that prison he was in. They would have treated him better in prison, but the courts here may have given him the death penalty for taking someone else's life. In fact, in the prisons here there are lots of foreigners, but they are mostly here because they were in debt and couldn't pay the banks back, and for that, they were sent to jail.
