You don't need religion to tell people to be nice and do good things, it's quiet a useless thing in modern days other than to feel better about death because a lot of people like to feel that there is something better beyond death so they don't go insane. The way religion is presented these days are wrong too, they used to be really good history logs as well, then somehow a lot of it turned into crazy ass fantasy and there are worshippers that really take them for granted. We are smart enough these days to not even need it, but most can't accept it due to fear. The extremists exist due to religion as well, so you can't say they are 2 different things, because it's their "just cause." |
I agree you don't need religion for any of those things. But if people choose to believe in it then thats their thing you cant dictate to other people what they can and can't do thats ridiculous.
And also im not sure where this perception came from where religion is just way out of death. Most religions don't have a focus on death but focus much more on way of life. Some religions don't even offer life after death. I hate when people equate religion to christianity.
And also we were always smart enough to not need it. We have built in mechanisms in our brains that do this (froom what ive read anyways).
Extremists are extremists. You get them everywhere they are different things. Just because you get hooligans that cause havok at soccer games doesnt mean soccer = hooligans. It doesnt work that way. Thats waaay too general of a statement to make.
Anyways my point is not to argue religion but what you saying is something against a free will its as stupid and silly as religious extremists views.
