Is this a joke thread? I hope so...

Its the other way round: Its more likely that Wii U owners played this game already on 3DS, so they have no need for the same game on Wii U.
So I am surprised by the Wii U sales, but perhaps Wii U owners are more likely to buy Non-Action-Focused-RE-Games than PS360 owners.
I guess the bad taste from both Raccoon City and RE:6 has made the PS360 crowd a little sour to the series, not that I blame them.
I remember when PS3 fans used to tout Amazon rankings. Good times... unless you were a PS3 fan.
You guys realize number 475 on the charts probably accounts for around 100 sales or less on Amazon right? I mean the PS3 has 82 games selling better, and the entirety of the 360 top 100 is higher than Revelations on the Wii U. For example, Mass Effect 2 (360) is number 449. According to VGC it sold 665 units last week. Now what percentage of the market does Amazon have? Maybe 10% if we're generous? That would mean Revelations Wii U sold less than 67 units. Now obviously none of these numbers are really hard data since neither Amazon nor VGC are great metrics for sales data. But the point remains that it wouldn't take much to get it to that position.
As for why it is higher than the PS3/360 versions I'd imagine it is a combination of there being more for those owners to buy right now as well as pre-order before Revelations comes out. Which holds up when you see that there are at 182+ PS3/360 games selling better than Revelations Wii U on Amazon. The Wii U version being $10 cheaper probably skews the Amazon results compared to other retailers.
Also I see you aren't making a thread about Walking Dead which has even higher sales on Wii U than Revelations. However...
Ranks
360: 9
PS3: 17
Wii U: 370
Interesting. So when the WiiU version is cheaper it sells better. Should be enought to convice Activision or Ubisoft to stop sellin WiiU games for 70 dollars. I mean they seriously cant expect a WiiU game to sell GREAT when its 10 dollars more than a PS3 or 360 game.
P.S. I will also buy the WiiU version (maybe 6 months or so after release since I already have the 3DS game) because it has off-tv-play which is awesome for COOP.
I hope they make the WiiU version compatible to the 3ds version at least for the gamemodes both versions share but I am afraid that wont happen.

This is EXACTLY why Nintendo owners somewhat hesitate to buy third party games because they got burned several times. RE is another story every RE game that came to a Nintendo console (mercenaries is not really a RE game) was awesome.

wow you seem to be the first person to mention the poor seals !
And that took over 50 posts. (Probably because Amazon wasn't in the title)

Bold proves to me that we (all of us) on these sales forum will find absolutely anything to explain higher sales. Usually bold is used to explain why people wouldn't buy a game. |
The 2nd reason is just why I might buy the game. I didn't want to buy a Circle pad. I'd much prefer buyig the WiiU version rather than going Revelations 3DS + CPP.
