You still can't control them! It is pointless to have the PSP games without being able to control them, that is what sets proper handheld consoles apart from phones

They also claim that the iPad 4 outperforms the Vita graphically, which may be true, but it also costs 2x as much and you can't properly control the games

But unfortunately, as the site are very keen to stress, people like me are in the minority and most would rather cheaper and inferior games

Just incase controlling them bothers some of us

Wow...

So, what, you need 3 hands for that?  That doesn't make for something you can just pull out of your pocket and play.  The portability aspect of it is out the window.

I'd much rather have my vita around than a phone and a PS3 controller just to play PSP games.  Then, frame rate issues and a lack of real buttons.  Also, the thumb pad.

How does a phone even emulate a vita?  It needs a touchpad, touch screen and two cameras.  You're not getting all of that on a phone, and you're not getting buttons either. Nor two thumb sticks, nor everything else.  There would be some heavy compromises. (Last statement is for the OP in case you couldn't figure that one out.)

Did you not see the new controller that Samsung is making with the new S4, it looks just like an Xbox controller. Dedicated gaming handhelds are coming to an end why spend more money when I can do it all on my phone? That's the reason why I will never buy a handheld again at this point it's just a waste of money.

Yes, once again, how nice and convenient, clearly just as easy as as playing a Vita or something. That and the lack of battery owing to the fact that my phone runs out of battery in one day's use anyway. The game quality is also certainly not there, though that of course might change

It's not that I completely shun how both the Vita and 3DS are unique in their features. That post was basically meant to show just how controlling games on the smartphones can have an alternative solution. You simply brought the portability thing into the discussion when it wasn't needed at all. Infact the rest of your statements.

The smartphones and tablets are already portable and does tons of other applications while trying its part even in the emulation segment. Of course, it'll be a matter of time when smartphones are good enough to produce Vita quality games with  portable accessories to control the games. Did you see that 360 style accessory for S4 Galaxy? And thus how things evolve with next generation of smartphones and tablets is an interesting thing to watch.

Hey just the other day I installed this on Windows yet the few isos I tried didn't work. Could anyone help me with that?

As for vita emulation, hahaha. That won't get emulated within the decade unless sales pick up. It's not popular enough yet. Also it is way more powerful than even the iPad 6, in practice.

No, people play emulators on PSP not the other way around.

the new galaxy 4 will have an add on you can buy thats basically a 360 controller rip off, that would work. though i still suggest that if you want to play psp games, just buy a PSP, its not that expensive

Looks like we have our winner.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Lol I have this app. Compatability sucks tho only like 10 games work. But it could have improved since I last used it a couple months ago

Sony had PSP games running on the Xperia Play a while ago, they just never let any game run on it.

make a emulator of handheld with a 7 or 8 years old tech is not something impressive we should wait another 8 years to having a psvita emulator nobody will not buying a vita and wait an emulator of it in smartphone many years.
Handheld is not dead

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
