Beyond is a retail game, The Walking Dead sold 8.5m episodes in 2012, so it generated $42.5m. According to our numbers the retail version sold 170k so far this year, which means another 850k. 9.35m at the very least (probably over 10m already).
Beyond would need to sell about 800k at full price to match that.
Also if you want to find my XBLA thread then just get on my profile and click on one of my posts. It's in my sig.
Unless you've turned sigs off. Then shame on you !

I better don't judge a game on trailers I mean I though The Walking Dead was a cheap cash in game until I played the demo and I was so wrong.

I never noticed it in your sig until now lol
And wow, 8.5m episodes! What about the entire season?

That's impossible to say really. All we know is that the retail versions contain all episodes.
Looking at TrueAchievements 48.000 own Episode 1, 20.000 own Episode 5, that's 42% who own all episodes.
But those are core gamers, so I expect the true number to be below that. Maybe 25% ? Who knows.

You are right. It was about 5 million I guess, all plataforms.
(Edit: Someone said it was 9 million, great success).
Beyond, in my opinion, will be AS SUCCESSFUL as Heavy Rain, it will sell 2 million copies lifetime.
Critical praise: never. It will be an amazing game, but most critics hate David Cage, so, 70 on metacritic at best.

Do you take the free episode into account and the numerous price drops? |
It was free for a limited time on XBLA and iOS. Not permanently free.
But you're right, Fade has the average price at $4 instead of $5, so revenue is probably more like $37m. So still over 600k sales (for now) needed at full price.

So you didn´t like "The Walking Dead"?
the rumor i heard was they dropped the press 'x' to jason feature so i really don't expect beyond to find much commercial success.
more successful maybe not, but better most probably. It will definitely be more successful than Heavy Rain, or at least I hope that.
