Nope. Most reasons already outlined here in this thread. The Walking Dead is multiplatform, has the brand power, and is cheaper.

Metacritic score is pretty unpredictable so it's impossible to know. I'll guess that Beyond will have a lower score than TWD though.

very unlikely for multiple reasons
reason 1: the TV and comics are insanely popular
reason 2: the game is on multiple platforms
reason 3: the game is only 25 dollars while beyond will be 60

No it won't in terms of sales.
I have a few female friends who bought the game just cause they like the TV show and don't care for playing it at all.
The game is like (good) merchandise.

Beyond Two Souls doesn't have that advantage.
It is known in the gaming community and probably not even there by everyone cause it isn't a mainstream game.
Qualitywise they will probably be equal with favor for the High Budget full retail game as long as quantic dream keeps their quality level up.But even then Reviewers will find some funny things to complain.
They probably even find some things they don't like at The Last of Us and we all know this game is going to be perfect and deserves a 99,9%/100.

You'd have to know the budget before you can claim what it would need to meet success. 


I think I have heard the budget for one episode was 700k without marketing. But I am not sure

You mean watched? Hahaha no really I've only done the first few. My biggest problem in the game is that you can die.

lol yes watched lol  It's an interactive movie, but i really think you should move on to the next episode or at least watch it on youtube.  It really starts to get good by the end of episode 2 and by the end of the season it is shocking by hw good the story truly is.  I didnt care much for the first episode either.

If you insist, I'll watch the next couple of episodes and see if they pick up.

how much did TWD make then you reckon so far,if 3.5m cost,sounds quite expensive but i guess it isn't,they'll still get £15 off me next time its on offer,i've only done the demo and missed the last deal

what about Beyond that must have quite a budget with quantic dream

i bet it would be under adventure on steam as that is where i have to look when i am looking for point and clicks and stuff,it infuriates me as i have to scroll through so many games to find what i want
