Let's not get carried away here. I'm happy for the Vita, I'm glad it's selling well. It's impressive that it outsold the 3DS this week. Some celebration is expected -- even encouraged. But this barely qualifies as an "accomplishment," much less a HUGE one.

Yes i'm serious. Vita won this week and we have every right to celebrate and do whatever we want.

One week is not much, seriously this would have happened either way. It's just like how the PSP has outsold DS many times. If there is anything to celebrate about is how well the Vita has done these past two weeks.

Also, let's see if your March prediction will be true.

Again, I'm not saying it's bad to celebrate that the Vita sold well, because it did. It's just ridiculous to celebrate that it won (again, by near 1'000 sales) over the 3DS. I don't see how you can't view this as ridiculous in the least bit.

Same can be asked for the ones claiming Vita will destroy 3DS as the most desirable portable, yet we are here in a thread celebrating it barely tops the competition with a price cut and big profile games.

Basically, you used the tool (your brain) in the way it wasn't meant to be used. You translated what he said to mean that things would have less than 500 sales per week but he was talking about the 360 selling over 20k in a week (which has happened before in Japan).  So Ps3 wouldn't see any less sales... so why would Sony be buried then and not now?
