Forums - Nintendo - Square Enix bringing unannounced Wii U game to PAX East (Deus Ex: Human Revolution DC all but confirmed)

It is possible it could get more support proportionally, as westerners tend more towards console MMOs (to the degree that anyone likes console MMOs, anyway)

Hmm, I dunno. Has a console MMO ever pushed those numbers on one platform alone?

I honestly think 500k would be a great success for it.

Super Mario RPG 2!

If they make this game successful they can make tons of $$$

That's a GREAT idea. Please Nintendo and Square Enix

The longer line represents a larger number.

The positive line is 175 and the negative line is 160. That's not a minority, that's more like divided.

Listen to that Tool song anyway.

FF XIII trylogy. Only for WiiU. )))

I think Nintendo fans are ALREADY making excuses.

apart from functioning as a sales indicator, a FF XIII port could also put the PS3's power head to head with the WiiU

I'd probably buy those games again, if they were at 1080p 60FPS... not at 60 dollars though.

I will ignore that song while you read this. And while you remember to factor in the 65 critical reviews. And while you contemplate which of us is actually the one "making excuses."

Maybe a nice pie chart will be more helpful. Everybody likes pie charts, right?

Are you finished disputing my "vocal minority" comment yet?

I don't think Final Fantasy 13 or any of that Eidos bullshit would be a good fit for Nintendo audiences. That's more Sony type.

Better games would be older Final Fantasy games, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts, which are more Nintendo-like.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

While I agree that it is most likely Deus Ex, even though it would be a moronic decision, I was digging a little deeper into Square Enix and found something interesting.

Crystal Dynamics is working on a new IP that was allegedly supposed to be announced last year. With Nintendo trying to get back third-party support for the Wii U, is it completely out of the realm of possibility that they got in touch with CD and Squeenix?

If they intended to announce the title late in 2012, it is possible Nintendo threw some money their way to delay the announcement until the launch dust settled. Granted, PAX East is a bit late, but Nintendo probably didn't see the dropoff coming.

PAX East is the largest event since launch and Nintendo knows they need to start pulling games out from behind the curtain sooner rather than later. SE still gets to announce the title in order to claim they are a 3rd party supporting Nintendo, and with 3 titles coming next week before PAX, Ninty doesn't need to have a ND until the week after. Agreeing to PAX ensures a timely announcement, and SE gets the glory of the reveal, rather than the rug being pulled out with a Nintendo Direct. Iwata did say he was eager to share what 3rd parties were working on after all....

Or course, this is all conjecture but it at least provides a bit of a talking point rather than just taking random stabs in the dark. Thoughts?

P.S. First post! Signed up just to share this info actually, even if it doesn't pan out.

Congrats on your first post!  Neat conjecture and I hope it's true, however I think it's going to be an announcement of soemthing much more mundane...
