Nes, Snes, Mega Drive (genesis), GC, Wii all in working order.

Closest thing I have to a broken console is a Samsung Galaxy SII, which I dropped from a height of about 3 mm.

only one broken system in over 20 years (i had a lot) and that was, ohh wonder, a rrod with my first 360 two years after i bought it on day of release.

Never had a console break on me until the Xbox 360 four times.

Own most home consoles since Atari 2600. The following are the only ones that broke on me:

PS1 - stop reading discs
PS2 (1) - stop reading discs
PS2 (2) - stop reading discs
Gamecube - stop reading discs

3 PS1's stopped reading discs
1 PS2 stopped working after a power outage (short circuited I guess)
1 Xbox 360 disc drive failed.

Let's see ...

I own the following
- PS1, PS2 (2), PS3, PSV
- GB, GBC, N64, NGC, DS
- Dreamcast

Only the PS2 broke down on me, and that was after 8 months of no use. A hurricane hit my country in the early 2000s so my PS2 was down for the 8 month period. Since then it could only play games when it is in the vertical position, and FMVs usually didn't play for some reason. :/

Somebody gave me an Xbox as a gift and all that did was chew discs. :/ After I modded it and replaced the drive and I had that bitch doing all sorts of shit.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

No system has broke, but the hinges and shoulder buttons on my DS lite are very dodgy.

MSX: video chip started to go bad after about 12 years of use. It displayed more and more random characters on the screen in the last year until it finally stopped working completely.

PS2: Disc read errors, also progressively got worse until it wouldn't load anything anymore

XBOX: Did not boot up after not having it used for a couple of months.

XBOX 360 20gb: RROD while playing Forza 2 demo
XBOX 360 20gb: RROD while playing Fable 2

PS3 60gb: YLOD just within 3 year extended warranty, ylod again 6 months later.
PS3 80gb: YLOD after 4 years, didn't bother getting it fixed.

Wii: Disc read errors, got worse over the course of a couple of months, died eventually.

I have had no problems with: PS1, N64, Dreamcast and Gamecube.
Replacement xbox360 20gb hdmi model is holding on though not used often.
PS3 slim has been working fine so far.
