Launch PSX stopped reading discs, although having the console flipped upside down got it to work.

Fat PSP and slim PSP. The fat PSP drive stopped reading UMD completely. The slim PSP started making loud squealing sounds which without opening the system I gatherered was the motor which powers the UMD drive. I sold the fat because it still worked. The slim also works and I use it exclusively for CFW. I have a PSP3000 which I use to rip UMDs so I won't wear down the UMD drive on this one. I also have a Go, won't wear the drive down on that one :P.

360. No RRoD. Disc drive error. Sent it to Microsoft, got it back, sold it.

and out of all this consoles only my Dreamcast broke, he still starts regular but after 5 minutes the system reboots and than it works again for a few minutes than again reboot and this goes on.

Gamecube-Broke when my sister tripped over some cables, destroying the cable ports.

That's it.

None of my systeme ever broke. Except maybe for my original DS that I left on a table and my dog toke it and started chewing on it. Thankfully that original DS was a huge massive handheld so it was still fonctional despite it having alot of tooth marks and becoming extremely unconfortable to hold.

I broke alot of controllers tho.

All working fine without issues. The only thing would be that I had to exchange my first Wii-U as it had the blinking blue light error out of the box.

PS1, PS2 Slim, PS3 Phat BC model, and PS3 Slim.

All working fine without issue. Only my phat PS3 got the YLOD, so I sent it in for a replacement.

All my retro consoles work. Although I no longer have them connected; instead I have them set up in my room.

I guess as technology becomes more sofisticated, consoles tend to be more delicate and more prone to fail.

2 PS2s broke because of physical damage (little brother stomped on it and the next one was dropped)
1 GBC broke because of the battery holders came apart and it became impossible to play.
2 360s broke because of RRoD
1 GC broke as a combination of age and physical damage
1 N64 broke but it was so long ago. Assuming it was physical damage.

Those are my only one that have broken.

3rd 360 (slim) still works.

3DS still works (traded in DSi to get Vita).

Of my three most recent Consoles (GC>PS2>Wii) none have broken. I actually spent a good deal of time mooching off a friend's launch 360, and, as far as I know, his still works to this day.

My only video game system that ever broke was my 360.
I let my girlfriend borrow it and just two days later she gave me a kind of "Uhm, not quite sure how to tell you this..."-call. As it turned out it got a RROD - I assume it got too hot because she was playing for hours, while I hardly ever played more than a few minutes with it.

my ps1 quit reading disk back in the day and that's about it. I've owned the nes,super nintendo,dreamcast,ps1,ps2,ps3,xbox360,psp and the 3ds at one time are another.
