I think that's a good move, if they want to attract new generations of gamers - cartoons are powerful media to get the kids interested into new IPs.

Well, lets forget about the Kirby-cartoon and Pokemon. and as the article talks about Video on 3DS - let's forget about the Kid Icarus cartoons.

But to the content: I think some funny little videos about the Pikmin could be great to advertise the game and for fans. I would buy such videos if they are offered in the eShop. Sadly the Kid Icarus-videos weren't offered, I would have bought them too.

I'm guessing that we won't talk about the Mario and Zelda cartoons...

And F-Zero.

wtf. Pikmin? Where is the demonstrated demand. The GC versions sold under 1m. Wii U will sell less due to lower install base.

Get back to projects that are about making GAMES and selling them. This is a waste of resources and Miyamoto's time.

Nintendo has always been in the cartoon business. Their games are designed the gain the attention of children. Zelda, Mario and Pokemon have all been cartoons. I think there was a donkey Kong one as well when I was pretty young as well.
