| RolStoppable said: Yes, you are wrong. Sony fans have accounted for the biggest portion of the active VGC userbase for most of VGC's life. It was only in 2006/early 2007 that Nintendo and Sony fans were present in about equal numbers while Xbox fans were always a minority. The overall climate of VGC is strongly influenced by console sales. Any fanbase whose system(s) post low sales will lay low while in the opposite case they will go out of their way to brag. If you (as a Nintendo fan) think that things are hostile right now, because the Wii U isn't doing well, then you better not imagine what the state of these forums would be, if the Vita was doing well right now. With both, the Wii U and Vita, doing so bad it is kinda like an unwritten peace treaty, even though there's still the occasional battle. |
Bolded line sums it up perfectly. Even the 360 had decent support going that holiday it unexpectedly conquered the PS3 in weekly sales.
Also the impression I got from this thread (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=151447) was that Nintendo fans were still in the majority.
