So, just because I always find it interesting to know charcter names....

when you're given the option at the beggining of a game to name a character whatever you'd like, what do you usually name it? and where does it come from?

for me I have 2, if I'm playing a game with a japanese setting (such as Persona 4 or Way of the Samurai) I choose the name "Utsuo Genkaku" or "厳格　空” which is a name I came up with a while ago for a japanese class, its the meaning of my first and last name, translated into japanese.

If I'm playing a game with a western setting (such as Demon's Souls or Elder Scrolls) I stick with Moses, because I think Moses was a badass, and my son's name will be Moses someday as well

my only exception is, for whatever reason, Final Fantasy and Pokemon, i always use the default names for those, its a quirk of mine, but it annoys me otherwise lol

so how abot you guys?

I always pick Stone as my characters name. i don't know where it's from ;o

My second choice would be AAAAAAAAAA

Seth, when I played WoW my main was Beerpack (old SC clan name), RedBaron was my main on PSO (GC). Usually just Seth though or default names.

I put my name so that I'm the hero in the game. Yeah.

I also use my own name if it's single player, where applicable.

Online IDs are always Andrespetmonkey

In-game characters are usually something dumb like "fag"

If there isn't a default name, I always choose my real name (Adriane), or my nickname (Aroc).

I always use the intended default names. I used to use Zack (for some reason I liked that name).
