Ill pick up a Wii U when it becomes worth it. It needs the library before I go anywhere near.
Until then, Ill be happy with my 3DS.

I have a ds, 3ds, wii, and more recently a wiiu (not strictly mine, though), i'll buy me own when theres enough games i want to play
| Barozi said: Yes but I wouldn't buy one for Zelda, F-Zero or Xenoblade. Really if there wasn't a Wii emulator for PC that could play Wii games in HD I may have bought the Wii by now for ~100€. |
Hope you're proud of yourself, contributing to the downfall of the industry :P
Ah who am I kidding, I've used Dolphin too, and ZSNES, and PSX, and Null DC, oh and USB loader for Wii lol.. Still buy a crap ton of games, a lot more than the average person I'd wager, so I make up for it.
Haven't used Dolphin for Wii games though, I'd imagine they'd be pretty laggy unless you had the highest of high end gaming PC. I've only played GC games with Dolphin, and I still get lag on some games, and my gaming PC is in the mid to high end range. Gotta say I was pretty amazed at how even some of the GC games looked in glorious HD.

Ha far from it. A decent dual core laptop can run a few of the games at 30FPS (Mario Party 8 for example).
Maybe you need a newer Dolphin version or change the settings a bit. Some changes can give you an insane FPS boost.
If you really have a mid to high end PC then you can play all important Wii games at 30FPS on max settings.
I bought a Wiimote and Nunchuck for the emulator though, so I gave Nintendo some money at least.
The last Nintendo console I owned was a Gameboy lol

Really? Hate is a big word. Could it be that for some people, the games made by Nintendo simply just don't appeal to them? -__-
Now, as far as I'm concerned, a good ZELDA, a good Metroid and an innovative 3D Mario game is usuallly enough for me to get a Nintendo console. Then there are games like X that really appeal to me.
But Nintendo hasn't made a console that I deemed good enough to be my main one since the GameCube. And even then, it was mostly tied with the PS2.
I usually gradually get all consoles over the course of the gen, so the answer is yes for me.. I don't like that Nintendo doesn't push the visual aspects like the other 2, but their games are great, and I just can't resist. But I usually wait until a few interesting games are available before buying their console.
It will depend on the caliber of games that comes out on Nintendo machines, atm there's nothing that I like and there has not been for a long time. The games they have are not bad but they just don't interest me.
My last Nintendo home console was the Super NES, but yes I would buy a new Nintendo console if I had a good reason to.
I have owned more than one console in every generation (Genesis + Super NES; Saturn + PlayStation; PS2 + Dreamcast, PS3 + 360); so it's not fanboyism, I just need Nintendo to improve.

I'll buy Wii U after price drops low enough, but primarily only to plya VC games because of my aged nes/snes. If Nintendo ever does a remodel of the 3DS XLL that had the pro pad built in, then ill consider it, but generally only to play old GB/GBC/GBA games.
my requirement for a console to be worth it is 20 worthwhile games for it's generation. The wii is the only system to struggle to do this. i will definitely wait for a few games don't expect b4 i get a wii u. i know i'll want ssb4, zelda, nsmbwu, and metroid. 16 more to go. i give it a 5 year cycle, so if i have good reason to think 20 games by year 3 i will get one then.
