I feel sorry for Maxxis because they're the ones EA is going to blame for this. That said-- good. 

Thid has been beyond ridiculous and the fact that its likely to continue through the weekend is even worse. 

I wonder if some of the SimCity devs will quit.

Hopefully they just do a patch to make it not online only, and I'll want it even if it is a dumb downed version of the old ones.

It still looks like a ton of fun when it works.

Metacritic is down to 79 after Gamespot's score of 5/10

well once it's fixed won't they probably change their score back?

Sadly Meta will only take the first score and won't change it.

SIMCITY 2013: 76 with userscore 1.5 (!)
SIMCITY 4: 84 with userscore 8.6

Should've just let Maxis do their thing.

I still can't believe the stupidity. It was sooo easy. All SimCity fans were waiting for, including myself, was a SimCity 4-clone with more options for building, modern graphics with realistic effects and more in-depth simulation and statistics.

The sad thing is, metascore will only go down significantly, maybe even ending in the 60's! On one hand I hope this game flops hard, but on the other I know EA will just blame Maxis for this.

itll get better over time (not score) with updates.  Just bad at launch but itll improve over time.

1. It's *another* DL service to keep track of....(convenience is nice).
2. It's EA.
3. Sim City.

This upset me a little at first, but then I realized that when places like Polygon put their back at 9.5, Metacritic won't change those either.  The low reviews all cite server problems so it looks like the game will settle in the 75 range.
