I'd say 90-95 mil by '09.

Yes. I predicted 100M shipped by the end of 2008 back in August.

There should be at least one more year of growth. A price cut or a new model this year would obviously remove any shadow of a doubt, but even as is, the system is still gathering momentum in America and Europe, and will be boosted in Japan by DQ.

In order to sell 100M total, they have to sell 33 million more units, and they have only 11 months (counting out January)......3 million DS's per month? Currently they are seling at half of that pace. IMHO, 100million is doubtable...unless they will release new good games for DS to boost up the sales.

But for now, I'll say 95 million maximum.

What should it to to actually sell 100 million :

A mario Brawler for the DS
Mario Kart DS 2
Brain Training 3
New Nintendogs


Now , there are also some rumors that say that there will be a redesign , afther sales go a bit down , if that would ahppen this year , than sales would deffinatly apss the 100 million mark ...

I believe there is a good change it will and a good change it won't, I think it will sell 98-102 million.

why is it better to use ps2 data than ds data?

ds sold 30 million last year; it is 33 million from 100mil...all u need to do is look and decide if ds should sell more or less than last year...if it should sell 3mil more than last year, then it will hit it

 


I already did that. But since Ps2, which is the longest lasting gaming machine in recent eras, stopped, I can't picture it beating it by 2,5:1. That is too much for me to believe.
Of course, I could be doing something wrong. I don't like saying if it will make 33M just from my guy.
