Forums - Gaming - What games do you love that people hate or think they are crap?

kid Icarus: Uprising is criminally underrated.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days was better than KH2.

ET for the Atari was a decent enough game.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star was only a disappointment in comparison, not on its own merits.

There are alot of N64 games like that for me. I really liked Fighter's Destiny, Winback, and Hybrid Heaven on N64. These games all got so-so reviews and were pretty much forgotten about immediately after release.

I also really loved the Cruis'n games even though they were all shitty ports of the arcade with tons of fog and pop-in.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Fighters Destiny was a solid fighter. I was always disappointed that other fighting games didn't draw inspiration from its point system.

I really like the Dynasty Warriors games I've played. Mainly the Gundam ones. I'm planning to get the DW Next on the Vita soon.

:D

I'm with you man. Dynasty Warriors is the best game i've ever played. Love the series and started playing since the series launched on PS2.

I play it mainly for the history and also for the gameplay and characters. KOEI are really good at making these games but i feel they've made a few bad decisions on the PS3 era titles. They have redeemed themselves with DW8 though and i can't wait for it to come overseas.

I've never understood why people are so dismissive of Dynasty Warriors titles, they say the game never changes yet they play Call of Duty or Fifa year after year when Dynasty Warriors has about a 2/3 year dev cycle and has more changes than most games.

this is turning into games people think is underrated thread which imo makes it a lot less interesting, a lot of games mentioned arent games that everyone or a very high percentage think is crap.

Edit:

Some of the games listed have an 80+ metacritic score and 4+ stars on amazon user reviews.

Killzone
Final Fantasy XII (95% of my friends hated this game)

Well, most of the people who talk about how it was the worst game ever never played it. I've actually played it through a couple of times, and found it to be an interesting use of a license combined with for the time unusual gameplay. Honestly, I suspect the reason people didn't like it was because it wasn't an arcade style experience. That, and it really lacked replay value.
