Sure, MGR sold better.

But DmC is the better game.

In the end, I blame Crapcom. They could have handled this whole DmC fiasco so much better by saying the following simple words:

"we have chosen to create a DMC set in an alternative universe which will take a different approach to gameplay and story whilst we continue to run the original DMC parallel to this. The purpose of this new DmC is not to replace the original, but to allow fans to explore an alternative vision and have the option to enjoy both."

This would have guaranteed more sales for the game and not caused the huge shit storm it has.

Good post, but stongly disagree with bolded. Fans would have still been upset and skipped this game.

I'll wait for a real DMC game then.

Ninja Theory are assholes. Why didn't they give the production to X developer? etc etc

Tbh some DMC supporters seem like they're taking this a bit to heart going by their comments I'm curious to know who has played both games.

are you a fan of Metal Gear series? 

I enjoyed what i've played but I wouldn't claim that I'm the biggest fan, i've played the main entries but haven't really touched the ACID games.

DmC has a more complex gameplay, but still I think both games suck. This was just the case of brand power, and the fact the PG never had bad PR about other MGS games.

Played both to completion and have easily put more than 20 hours in to each game minimum.

There's just more BITE to DmC than there is MGR.

DmC wins on combat, weapons, overall fluid gameplay, story, length (by quite a big margin) its pretty much better than MRG in every category.

Look......... i have played Devil May Cry since the franchise started (as i know many on here will have also done) and i absolutely LOVE DMC, DMC3 & i "like" DMC4...... i can understand peoples frustrations with the new look of Dante, i can understand peoples frustrations with Dantes new "attitude" but look, at the end of the day its a prequel, theres still going to be many opportunitys to take the franchise forward in the future (a proper DMC5 if you will) but for me DmC is BETTER (yes i said it) better than DMC4, and to be honest its not a million miles away from the 2 greats of the franchise (DMC, DMC3).

When i see DmC's 4.6 meta it saddens me to be honest, because it is a damn fine game and in MY opinion deserved better sales (more so than what MGR has already achieved)
