My PC is very casual. So I can agree with you.
To be honest the only reason i tried to get into PC gaming was because of dem grafikz.
Turns out its just the same console multiplats with better visuals. An average game is still average despite the graphics.
This of course excludes PC exclusives and MMOs and such.
Edit: I wanted to add that most of my PC gaming time goes to emulators (SNES and N64) which I find generally more fun than my steam list of games.

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

Ah, good point.
To wfz and CGI, this is all new stuff for me, the whole B_3_L_I_E_V_E and PC Master Race jokes. I'm not sure what source of sarcasm it came from but I can't relate to it at all.
Yeah, looks is fine, but I also like it for the keyboard/mouse setup, the cheaper games, the wealth of games, the mods and most my friends own PCs.
To me it's not just graphics, it's online, controls, and the ability to mod as well.
I bought my PC for the graphics, stayed for the unique experiences. The mods for Arma II have been my greatest experience on PC so far, both DayZ and Wasteland are SO addictive, Chernarus is like my second home.

Well, you weren't here for B_3_L_I_E_V_E, so of course we can't expect you to relate or understand it. But, the Master Race thing is old and was originally intended as sarcasm. Both things succeeded. |
I could make a poll but I'm pretty sure nobody but a select few ever thought B_3_L_I_E_V_E was funny. But even reading it in 2009 and being late to the party, it never was funny to me. I don't need to have been there from the start to get it, it's not like it has some magical backstory, especially not the PC Master race one, pretty straightforward joke tbh.
To me, PC gaming was for when I was a kid and I couldn't afford to buy consoles. The games that I enjoy the most have always been on consoles even though I played my top 2 favourite games on PC - FF7 and FF8. But even then I would have preferred to play them on consoles.

whats Believe?
Getting close to photo realism isn't nearly as important as bragging about the specs for those people, they can't shut up about it. So it's not about graphics for them either, they just want to brag about what they have bought.
The good news is most PC gamers I've met personally don't care as long as they can run games without trouble, which most mid range laptops can do these days. So yeah, don't let the vocal minority bother you.
