One quick question? Why do so many people like The Big Bang Theory? The few seconds I see that show when at a friends house (flipping through channels) it seems like the characters are complete dorks and their dorky science humor seems terrible.  Last episode I saw for 5 seconds they came in after playing paintball and were like out we suck and they probably got beat by kids.  Can getting your ass kicked in paintball be funny?  Sure but they can't replicate the type of humor like on King of the Hill when Hank, Dale, Bill, and Boomhauers go paint balling.   Not trying to insult you for enjoying the show but I don't see what the big deal is. I suppose that type of humor doesn't entertain me one bit.

It isn't funny. A show that require a very loud laughtrack is never funny.

Yeah i could understand that.  Another thing is live TV like NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, etc.  Im not sure Xbox Video has that yet so if you watch that stuff it may be a good thing to wait for them to get it.  It does have a UFC channel though I think? So it may eventually get the rest but you know things like the superbowl is important so they still need to get live TV like that

I don't usually watch much TV. How do you pay for Xbox video?

3 options.

Buy an epidode in SD
Buy an Episode in HD
Or buy a season pass for a cheaper overall price

It works kind of like payperview except you are buying shows and you get to keep them forever.  You can rent too though.

There is the ESPN app on 360 that lets you stream a lot of content, but there's a ton of crap along with it (blackouts, Watch ESPN restrictions, etc.)

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

Yeah Ill check out the ESPN Channel on there tonight.  I saw it last night but didnt look around too much since it was late.  Either way everything will get better over time.  Bandwidth might be a problem though, not sure

DVR lets you record shows that you may have missed for a monthly fee.

Xbox Video/Amazon Video/Similar Services just allow you to buy these episodes. If you only watch a few TV shows, I guess it would be cheaper than cable, but if you watch like a dozen shows it ends up being way too expensive and you would have to pay for each episodes of your favorite TV shows. So does it replace your cable or DVR? It could, but it would be way more expensive and you wouldn't be able to watch these shows live as they air, you have to wait until they become available on the service.

Im going to find out tonight how long it takes for them to get new episodes but since they had the newest walking dead episode it must be pretty quick.  And yeah if you watch a lot of TV it probably wouldnt be optimal as it may end up being more expensive.

For people like me who doesnt watch much tv it is great.

Those of you wanting a more buy and watch on any device approach without installing special software should just use Google's Play store.

Google Play doesn't have T.V. Shows, atleast in Canada.  Plus they have DRM so I'm not sure if their stuff will play on my PSP, Vita, or PS3/PS4.  Kinda like how Microsoft's stuff doesn't play outside of their phones, or iTunes doesn't play on non-apple products.  The movie industry is really pissing me off.

Oh yeah, definitely a difference based on region.

US has everything and yes it will play on all those devices via the browser so long as your browser supports HTML5.

I see what you're saying.  For my purposes, however, it's not for me.  If I need to put videos on a portable device, there's a good chance I'm going somewhere where there's no internet.
