Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo blocks 3rd party games...

I rarely buy multi-platform games on any system so wouldn't mind. 90% of my games are exclusives even on non-Nintendo systems. Seeing as exclusives are basically dead in terms of 3rd party. I wouldn't care.

I agree that third parties treat Nintendo like shit and always come up with excuses why it's not possible to bablabla... But i think Nintendo needs both, of course the most important games are their first party titles but they admitted themselves they can't survive (not for long this time) with 10 variations of Mario games. They need games that are for casuals and hardcore gamers. And obviously they don't want to lose support of third party games like Just Dance and Monster Hunter which made quite some good sales on the Wii.

Take a look at RolStoppable post in the 1st pg for a more detailed vision of the concept.

LOL.

This thread should be called: What if Nintendo did something REALLY stupid?

Can you imagine if they announced that hhahahahah!

I more or less buy 1st party games only for my Nintendo systems as it is anyway. So, yes.

The new Xbox will probably offer superior third party games anyway.

I would still buy a Nintendo console for first-party games -- they have the finest first-party stable of any hardware manufacturer.

That being said, I would also buy Sony and Microsoft products if they only supported first-party software.

Nintendo proved with the GameCube and Wii that they can survive off their own software alone.

The Gamecube had wonderful 3rd party support.

Rols post reminded me of Yamaguchi's way of doing bussiness. Anyone remember the lock-out chip back in the NES days?

And I thought Nintendo don't have to do that, 'cause 3rd-parties are doing it for them anyways. XD

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

nintendo should be dropping their pants and bending over to 3rd parties, not putting on a chastity belt.
