Exactly ...I do the same for tennis and football (real football), so even if they catered for people like me it would defeat the purpose. I don't plan to buy the system for that. It wouldn't even constitute a bonus for me. That would be tantamount to it having Skype. I would acknowledge it, but likely never use it since I have another medium to use it (which is much more preferable to me). If that's their priority then I have little to no interest in buying into the console and their ecosystem.

Yup.  its just not a great selling feature.  Maybe if i was a younger  again and wanted to do everything as hightech as possible. but its a gimick.  (maybe i am getting old).

Sony has dedicated themselves to games. they have always included entertainment,  but that comes after providing great games

I don't know if you noticed a certain fellow, but there's a dude there with a Skeletor avatar who is quick to post "Epic 360 win" when ever there's a H2H. I hope that fucker will be online next gen (as some often disappear when things are no longer in the favor of their console of choice). I can't WAIT to see his response then. :)

Lol I remember when they used to use that as an arugement agaisnt the PS3.

That's why I find this so interesting. The PS4 captures the PS3's greatest strength - power - but manages to deliver it in a highly efficient form. All we need now are good (great and stellar) games and a decent service and the crown will return to Sony. Sony seems to have the right pieces in place with respect to marketing. Truly, for the first time one might be able to say the most powerful console won a generation outright (and not factoring in any 'technicalities').

 

I mean anything can happen still and I wouldn't put it pass sony to not fuck something up. But we are definitely looking at a much different landscape going forward. Interesting times ahead

Yea, they could fuck it up, and I won't put it past them. I'm not going to be too optimistic despite the developments over the last few months, but for now the ball is in their court and the game is theirs to lose.

One thing is for sure..the current Sony team behind the PS4 is a very smart bunch of people. They are handling it like pros. I mean we are hitting TGS soon..we have heard of so many damn games for PS4 already..yet they have still so many huge projects to unveil.

ND has two teams and even TLOU teams must be about to start on the next game if they haven't already

SSM has at least 2 projects

GG has one new IP

SCEJ definitely has projects yet to be unveiled 

The key to having good momentum, and god knows wiiu has shown this clearly, is to avoid big droughts post launch, keep announcing big exciting exclusives, clever catchy marketing and launching an exciting product. They have nailed one..three to go!
