I believe that was an error because PD definitely has the PS4 in house so it would be stupid not to start making a game for it. By the time this next installment comes to the series the PS4 will be ramping up so there's no point in wasting time coding for a PS3. On top of that we have the issue with the architecture being totally different between the PS3 and PS4 so it's not like they can straight port it over and working on it concurrently would only hinder the PS4 versions development.

There is no word in Kaz's twitter since 16 Jan, 2013... Is he in vacation?

That would be a big mistake.

No way they only announce the game a few months before they release it. No way. The only way this could go down is them announcing at E3 while they're showing PS4 games, but that completely takes focus away from the PS4 launch. The only explanation for this being real is 1) they're using GT6 sales on PS3 to help with PS4 losses or 2) it will be a cross generational title, PS4 and 3.....but those still sound crazy. 

Why can't they release it on both system like they are doing with Destiny?
Also with 70-80 million consoles on the market by the time GT6 is out Sony would be stupid not to have it on the PS3, there is now way the are going to pass on 80 million users.

This would be incredibly, unbelievably dumb.

Sony's biggest IP MUST be on the PS4 ASAP.

I'm torn by this. I was hoping it would release on the PS4 to boost sales of the system, but with it going to the PS3 it will definitely earn more $. Well, hopefully Sony can sell Drive Club as a good alternative. I intend to get it day 1 with the PS4, but most comments I read concerning purchasing the system didn't have Drive Club as title with it (Killzone was in almost every, not a surprise).

I HIGHLY doubt this, it took PD so long to release GT5, at the most maybe PD will do a GT6 "Prologue" for the PS3 then release the full game for PS4

Don't see this happening

People love to make comments about PD taking so long to make a game, but PD has never went 3 full years without releasing a game. If they don't by fall 2013 it would be the first time. This is from GT5 dating all the way back to the first GT.

I doubt think GT6 won't be on the PS4
