Forums - Nintendo - WiiU can do at least this - Crysis 2 1440x900 on HD5550

The first video shows Crysis 2 running pretty well at 1440x900 on a Radeon HD 5550 with 512MB GPU RAM. Considering Criterion appears to have NFS MW running at least as well as on the 5550 desktop card, most likely better due to optimization, we should be able to see games looking like this (or even better with optimization), running at fairly good detail levels, 720P, and good framerate.

More people would care if I was bashing the WiiU...

Sadly, positive threads don't sit well on gaming forums.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

The point is really this - modern games are scalable, so a multiplat game may run on Ultra High at a crazy resolution on a PC, High @1080P on PS4/Nextbox, and Medium @720P on the U.

Awesome I should get Crysis 1 and 2 since my gfx card is better than the ones suggested in the OP.

Avoid. They are very mediocre, if you ask me. Although the first one is only remotely "good".

Also, I have a 550Ti and can do High settings @ 1080p with 35fps average for Crysis 1. Demanding game is demanding.

Wake up people, the Wii U - PS4 gap will not be like the Wii - PS3 one.

Eh I don't really care if it can run Crysis. Can it run Magic though?

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Graphics are good, gameplay is mediocre IMO.

That's is somewhat true. However the direction of the game is also important because not every game can be "scaled" down. The Witcher 3 is a good example.
