Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo and 3rd parties *Formerly; Nintendo is f*cking up big times with 3rd parties*

I don`t think you are making stuff up Danne, but i don`t think your source isn`t - not on purpose i mean.
According to devs on neogaf the whole memory was pretty much known to be at least 2GB, with a part dedicated to the OS. This was known well before E3 last year.
That companies didn`t have the final dev kits i`m sure that Nintendo was clear on this and as Iwata already went public to confirm the final dev kits were only sent out late last year (no specific date given) i don`t see why the big fuss now.

If Nintendo had an exclusive coming from Japan i just don`t believe Nintendo would say no to it. Most likely would be the company saying that and not Nintendo.
Big exclusive means big company and to those Nintendo has always been more open.
When you say a big exclusive to redeem a whole company you are talking about the lost Wii U exclusive?

As i said, i believe you and your friend, but was told to you makes no sense. What do you think by the way?

Danne are you trolling us? If Nintendo said devs will have access to 1gb for games why should they get less?

I'm sad to tell you I'm not trolling =( this is all things I've heard from within the business. I don't know anything more than you do. I have no idea why Nintendo is doing this. My source says he thought it might be because Nintendo will bring out a NEW console rather soon (sooner than thought anyways), but that's all speculation

sorry man your friends friend doesn't sound reliable at all I mean there were a lot of people expecting Killzone 4 and PS4 being as powerful as the rumors say anyone could tell that it would look amazing

Nintendo never let power be the deciding factor into releasing a new console because others have much more power. releasing a new console will only damage Nintendos image

was this person Pachter btw?

haha no, it wasn't pachter :P Like I said, that part about releasing a new console was mere speculation from his part...

And the reason why Nintendo would give 3rd parties gimped dev kits is because to have an edge over them apparently...

but saying devs get 1gb and then giving them less doesn't make sense or we would have heard about it from devs already

devs got the final devkits at the end of last year

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

There will only be proof that you have insider information, if you spell said information out. Everybody could make educated guesses and use some ambigious wording to scream "I was right!" when one or the other thing lines up with vague statements.

This is what I was going to say.

It's difficult to believe that he has insider information when we have no way of knowing if this is true or just rubbish.

This is no rumor this is actually true since SNES or even NES era in recent times N64 and access to μcodes, Wii and access to WiiMote

what's this about access to Wiimote? independant modders had that thing cracked wide open during Wii's first year on the market...

do you understand meaning of word cracked

Yes, I understand. But unless you're more specific about what kind of support Nintendo did or didn't provide for developing on the Wiimote, no conclusion can be drawn.

There have been horror stories about how developers had to struggle trying to understand the PS2 and PS3. Figuring out something like the Wiimote on your own is a walk in the park in comparison.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

When I'm talking about Sony's e3 presentation I am in no way refering to anything Nintendo. No old Nintendo games will show up there as far as I know. All I can say is that it was a survival horror that Nintendo cancelled, and that now probably will be ported over to PS360.

Apparently Nintendo has done this before; given 3rd parties gimped dev kits, so it's nothing new. And 3rd parties was restricted to 732mb only 2 months before release, causing some trouble (just look at the 2nd post in this thread)

But what proof have you got this megaton was a Wii U exclusive originally?  Any game not comign to Wii U could potentially fit this profile

ONE of the megatons is an old exclusive, but not from Nintendo. You will know what game I'm talking about when you see it.

So if I am reading correctly, I should be expecting to see a previously annouced exclusive 3rd party game on Wii U move to PS4.

ANyone knwo what these exclusive annoucements have been thus far? All I know is Bayonetta 2.

No, I don't think there will be any former Nintendo games on Sony's presentation. A xbox game on the other hand... and old faces from PS1 era...

Gears of War? Alan Wake? Those are two games that fit your clues.

Canceling almost finished games from 3rd parties doesn't make sense either... I'm just re-telling what I've heard, and that it's not about any crazy concpriasy as some would like to think. It's all down to Nintendo and their shitty treatment...

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=155705 - this is all I know about e3, and should this list come true it should be apparent I have insid information, thus validating what I've said in the OP
