Nah you missed it because they snuck it in there, lol, I picked up on it on the second viewing last night. Something along the lines of; "althought ps4 won't natively support previous generatin software, gaikai however does offer the potential to stream them".  Some crap like that.

But the fact that they are going from the Cell to x86 platform was all we really needed to know that bc is absolutely, completely and totally not coming to ps4. But who cares the jump between gen is pretty decent, and I doubt most folks are going to be getting rid of their PS3 any time soon after the ps4 launches, so no big deal.

I'd like to clean out my closet for once. Now even all the jrpg's that i bought from PSN, which i incidentally already own on disc, won't be transferable to PS4?

You gonna do me like that aye Sony, again... Go fuck yourself.

The company admitted last night that PS3 games wouldn't be compatible with the latest console, but has added that it will try to make titles playable "in some form." Because the architecture of the Power-PC-based PS3 and x86-based PlayStation 4 are so different, Sony will only bring across games that don't guzzle the latest console's power in emulation. The executive also said that the company aims to offer server-side and cloud services to offer a wider library of older games, but said that's one for the "longer term."


I was honestly wondering why no one brought this up.
