There are many, many more PS4 games yet to be announced... but as it stands Wii U edges it in terms of games
Wii U currently, it's just what they showed this morning seemed decidedly average and expensive; I haven't got the income for that. No real evolution apart from graphical and Social (which I don't really care about anyway). If the best you can think of to show the world how great your console will be is 2 games we've known about for ages, and a port of a pretty poor Blizzard game, as well as a handful of sequels, then that's not great. I know that's what Nintendo did with the Wii U, and look where that took them.
Admittedly, there were some impressive features, and indeed some interesting new IP's, but nothing which particularly wowed me. This can change, of course.

Uh... no. Did you see the draw distance in X? It was like a kilometer, and everything looked amazing up to that. Killzone rarely showed more then 200-300 meters away, as yea buildings are reflective, rock is not LOL. |
I'm 10X more excited for X than Killzone, but that doesn't mean I can't see that Killzone is much much better looking. The texture quality, and amount of detail is far supperior to X. Draw distance is better in X, but that's just cause it's an open world game where. In Killzone there is no need to show you what's beyond your immediate vicinity, so the angles don't show you that. Even if X was a linear game, it wouldn't really be as good on a technical level as Killzone.
The gap between Killzone 3 and Killzone 4 will be smaller thn that between X and Killzone, but those low expectations won't last forever. People will be comparing X to games like Deep Down, rather than Xenoblade.
There is definitely a VERY clear difference between PS4 and WIi U games. The difference may not be PS3-Wii difference, but it's bigger than PS2-X-Box. Maybe Dreamcast-X-Box would be more apt, maybe even a little more.
The PS4's technical superiority is clear. Nintendo is going to have to prove that their interface, meaning both OS and contoller, is a lot more friendly and can provide more unique experiences.
Ultimately, Ninteno's position is the same as it was on Tuesday. They have not demonstrated the value of the Wii U effectively. If they can do this, they'll succeed, if not they'll fail. The system is more than capable of competing with the PS4 in the market place and even dominating it, but that's only if Nintendo can make the WIi U advantages shine.

Couldn't watch but did read up on it. To all of those things - so what? Yes the hardware and OS are better but it's all about the gameplay. And I'd think some of those things could have been done on PS3 if they really wanted too through OS update. There's some cool features but really, not enough to justify shelling out cash for a new console. |
The ps3 and 360 didnt do anything to be inovative in game play from last generation. The outcome Wii selling 100mil consoles and dropping off the face of the earth while ps360 has sold 150mil+ now. The consumers have spoken.
The Wii U has a tablet controller and is selling less than 11k a week in USA... the consumers have spoken.
Most people want solid gameplay. In fact, so many people contribute cross chat and online play to the biggest innovation in gameplay this generation. So in comparison how is sharing through social networking not considered innovation for game play?

Would you guys please stop combining PS3 and Xbox360 sales ONLY when it goes against the Wii. In so many threads you have a massive flamewar with PS3 sales vs Xbox360 sales, but as soon as it goes against the Wii the sales suddenly are combined :/
Face it: PS3 and Xbox360 failed to outsell the Wii.

Ps3 and 360 sales are seperate in those threads because they are direct competition fighting over the same demographic and section of the market. They are basically going head to head. Throw the Wii into the mix then you have 2 systems going for the same market vs a system that went off and did it's own thing. It makes perfect sense to compare side by side the ps360 to the Wii. Sorry you can't accept the fact that the market the wii went after burnt out so much quicker than the market ps360 went and are going after

Who says that? I'm fully aware the casuals are gone, my only point was that neither of them individually managed to reach the Wii's sales yet.
Wii U.
I want Mario, Monolith, Zelda, Retro and the other exclusives.
I'm leaning towards the WiiU cause the PS4 didn't wow me.
