Wii U is already out with a library of games (well, sort of). It's hard to compare something that was just announced last night (of which we didn't even see the actual console, just some capabilities and support), with one that was announced at E3 last year and is already out...

It'd be different if both just had press conferences announcing these new consoles.

I think it's fairly obvious that Sony's touchpad is far more innovative and useful than Nintendo's touchscreen (which i really don't understand). Why would i want a touchscreen to control maps, inventory, & play completely off-tv? When instead i can have a touchpad which will not display any information, and will obviously be used in a variety of amazing ways which will almost guarantee Sony's return from glory. I think that touchpad is the best thing Sony invented since the Walkman!

wow your sarcasm is contagious

Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

WiiU for me, easily. A big part of this is because I'm a fan of Nintendo's IPs, but to be honest, I saw nothing in Sony's conference that made me care about PS4.

I play mostly Japanese games, and the ones mentioned didn't do anything for me, unlike Bayonetta 2 or The Wonderful 101 for example. Deep Down seems to be following the aesthetics of Dragon's Dogma, which I don't really care for, and we don't know anything about Final Fantasy, which was expected to be announced eventually anyway. And if that Agni's Philosophy demo is supposed to be a glimpse of the next game, I'm not liking what I'm seeing... Realistic "Middle-East" settings with mutating animals that appear to be taking from Resident Evil is not what I want from a Final Fantasy game.

I have practically zero interest in FPS games and driving sims, and Knack is visually unappealing to me, without anything that stands out gameplay-wise either. I understand that for some people the visual potential of the platform is very important, but personally, I couldn't care less. That potential is irrelevant to me if I don't care for the concepts that take advantage of it, both aesthetically and gameplay-wise. And if I did care that much, I would just stick to PC gaming.

The only game that really caught my eye was Watch Dogs, and even then, not that much. I'll probably end up playing this one on PC eventually, if I ever do.

As far as the platform features goes, I do have interest in having a second screen in the controller to play games while the tv is busy or some extra gameplay features like on WiiU, but I'm certainly not going to buy a handheld I don't care about for it... And while not having backwards compatibility out of the box was expected, it doesn't cease to be disappointing... I have no intention of playing games through the cloud, much less ones that can be played on other platforms "physically", so that's not an option for me.

Playing games while you're downloading them is nice I guess, but I doubt I would even use it. I think I would prefer to download everything first anyway. And finally, any social features are irrelevant to me on any console, and including a "share" button just for it on the controller is something I don't really care for... To make things worse, some things mentioned in the conference made me question the privacy aspect of the platform... What exactly is that about the PS4 "getting to know you" and even loading games you want "before you even click the button" ? What kind of information about your preferences is stored and how ?

In any case, I'm one of those late, late, late adopters that can't afford to buy a platform until the end of its life, so I guess my opinion doesn't hold much weight... And there's always the chance of changing my views of the platform in the next few years... After all, this is just the beginning.

I voted for both. I bought a Wiiu and will be very happy once a steady steam of Nintnedo exclusives start to roll out like one 3ds but like my 3ds the system isn't being used much early on. I am going to buy either a Xbox Next or  PS4 and right now am very much leaning towards PS4 becuase it appears to be more powerfull and they seem to have fixed the problems I had with the PS3 controller. On PS3 the anolog sticks are slippery and the controller doesn't work as nicely for shooters. Too small in the hands and theres a weird transition from l1 to l2 and r1 to r2. I gotta put that controller in my hands but it looks promising. Of course Microsoft could change all of this by using Rare properly.

PS4 without question

WiiU specifically because the graphics on PS4 show no real leap over PS3. At least WiiU is different.

Not sure if serious

lol well the KZ skyline scenery was pretty amazing. But when the shooting started I saw no real improvement over KZ3 in graphics.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Wii U. It's hard to choose a different system when you are a Nintendo Zombie.

Both because the GameCube and PS2 was my all time favorite gaming consoles, and now that we have a Wii U and PS4 with similar architecture, heavily focusing on the GPU, I expected to see multiplat and amazing exclusives from both consoles.

This is going to be interesting.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games
