wow. qq moar, for real

I only agree with number 5. The lack of BC is a disappointment for me.

Problems 1, 2, 3 & 6 can be addressed between now and e3. This was just the unveiling. You shouldn't expect them to go into detail into everything major.

I'm not sure about Problem 4 since I didn't watch it and much of it would depend on how it was executed and what specifically was shown.

I found the point where he said that the PS4 wasn't actually unveiled as stupid as I don't see how it's really that important to show the console itself when you know the specs, how games will look like, and a lot of the features of the software it will have are.

Sony wouldn't show the system or a release date because it's still in prototype stage at the moment. They even mentioned that at the conference. It was more of an effort to garner financial support form investors before manufacturing can begin.

To add to this, there is a LOT of skepticism behind cloud based gaming, particularly older games, because transmission between mediums via TCP/IP does not allow for superior latency times with controllers. Add extra latency for visual feedback and you have a potential disaster for games that require quick response. It's a similar reason why Duck Hunt will no longer work on LCD screens...

i agree with number 6 and 4

release date of 2013 could mean Japan only as the past 2 consoles havent had the same WW release as japan

would of liked to have seen more exclusives with new gameplay mechanics and not past gen sequels

Nintendo's Wii U reveal only had two tech demos and it wasn't lambasted this badly. This is getting a little silly now. If Valve suddenly announced you can play your games while they're downloading on steam, the internet would go into meltdown.

Totally agree with your points especially points 4 and 5. I mean PS3 has established itself and gamers that own this consoles have already invested lots of money in buying games. So it's terrible to tell gamers now that you can play those games on the new consoles. Bad move by Sony. And why show 3rd party games that are coming on all consoles include current gen ones? What a waste of time.

I would add that they should have at least shown the console itself and announced a price. Sony essentially pulled a Nintendo, lol, but I believe Sony did much worse.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

"Now before we go into our problems with today’s briefing, know that we aren’t Microsoft fanboys."

That right there is a huge red flag telling you that this was an article written by M$ fanboys, for M$ fanboys.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
