Exactly how expensive is this type of RAM? I know nothing tech.

If you can find a PS4 in any store after release. I'll let you buy me one.
I suspect two sku honestly........$429-$499 something close to that heh.
My biggest worry coming out of the event. It looked real expensive, and the specs/controllers suggested as such. But they can't afford to sell it at a loss.
It looks really good, but I'm thinking perhaps $500 as a minimum now (with no loss involved). That's worrying.

Remember that PS3 uses XDR which is proprietary DRAM made by RAMBUS. GDDR5 is pretty standard and dropping in price.
Would Sony really price the PS4 high? I mean hasn't Sony always lost money on its hardware? If this tech is really expensive then its going to be one or the other.
Edit, this was meant as a reply to Otaku. Sorry bought the screwup

If we could be so lucky. Certainly not if they want to not have a loss.
A good guess would be $499 minimum. Start saving up.

Sony are waiting for MS to move their horses. A price war they can't win from MS, they are just too damn big.
If MS aims for a $399 price tag (on a similar specced device), Sony will probably have to sell at a descent loss to stay competitive. Will they take the plunge again like they did with PS3? Only now they aren't coming off a mountain of cash anymore. Interesting times indeed...
