Really, buddy it's not that bad. You already paid for PSN+ why not pretend that the online is free. But you should get a WiiU anyway though. ;)

....errrr.....I really don't support the concept, but it is the removal of the already free service that is so upsetting. At least Xbox Live started paid from the start.
Regardless, they won't do that. It would be a giant upset to their fanbase and potentially one of the most damaging decisions they could make. If they add enough value to their paid service than it won't matter if they leave the base service free. Charging for it now is a bad idea.

Obviously I don't know anything at all about it, but I'd imagine Sony knows that people like the free online gaming and will probably just add value to the paid service. Like with whatever stuff Gaikai will offer.
Though, if they made the paid service mandatory to pay online, I honestly couldn't blame them. I don't like the idea at all either, but Microsoft gets away with it. :/
I think the free online and the value that PS+ brings is a really strong point for Sony though, so hopefully they continue the trend.
