"Despite bearing the name, this is no Metal Gear game. At least not like you’re used to. This would have been good and fine for Raiden to have a game of his own outside the Metal Gear Solid universe, that’s filled with action instead of stealth. But, then why have stealth? Why have a soliton radar? You rarely use either, and it doesn’t quite fit in the fast-paced action confusion. Hideo Kojima was right in cancelling Metal Gear Solid: Rising—it just didn’t work. Even he saw that. Instead, someone at Konami had the bright idea to let Platinum Games take over the development. From the ashes, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was born, and like any problem child that grows up into an insufferable disappointment, it’ll leave a stain on the reputation of the parents: revered developers Platinum Games and Kojima Productions."

I agree with everything written here.  And also lets not forget about the shitty camera and pacing in the game.

I agree with everything written here.  And also lets not forget about the shitty camera and pacing in the game.

I laugh at some of these people defending this sorry excuse for a game. It's probably going to flop hard in my opinion.

This game is mediocre at best based on what I heard. This game can be completed in 5 Hours. Just so you know a God of War 1 Speed run takes approximately 5 hours a SPEED RUN of GoW 1.That's actually a trophy in the game to. 

Mind you it's not a speed run of MGR.Normally I don't complain about a how many hour's it takes to complete a game for example Journey,BUT Journey was a groundbreaking game something never done before.

MGR had been done before when I played the demo the fighting mechanics were flawed especially when Raiden slows down time and does that slashing thing. I doubt this game deserves a 3,but anything above a 7.5 seems like a gift.

10-12 hours is the perfect length for me,but 5 hours is just laughable. That's almost one gaming session for me.

That's about the same length as DMC series without doing unlockables, secret missions, sucking, etc. So it's not absurd from the genre. And I heard the 5 hours doesn't count in the  in-game tracker for cutscenes (Which could be numerous :P).

However, I bought those at like 10$, because it is a bit much,  which is what I'm going to do here.


On another note:
it's a bit weird though, this games gotten a lot of positive reviews, yet it seems the negative one gets a thread, and thus getting that review more attention.

I didn't see any review over 8/10 for now... so that's it.

The PSLS reviews seems low but I agree 0/10 Metal Gear game... 7/10 or 8/10 any other named game.

Call this game a Metal Gear was a huge mistake.

A 3/0? I think the reviewer is hating on this game more because its also on the 360.
