They have loads of money and loads of studios that we haven't heard of. I wouldn't expect too many big new AAA games though, I would expect mostly casual and social stuff from those

I think they will introduce a few new IP's when their new console comes out. They will all be shooters.

Microsoft is rich they can do how many studios they want, lets see if they will work hard or just dont give a sh**.

Based on the list I posted from wiki MS LA studio is working on a "next gen core cinematic title" and Platform Next Studios are working on a "next gen core title" which I take to mean traditional style games rather tham Kinect titles.

I don't care how many studios Microsoft purchases, its what they put out and keep. Microsoft has made many IP's that they've sent to the trash over the years.

I've only heard of 4 of those studios. Rare, Turn 10, 343, and Lionhead. Aka, the only good ones, and even calling Rare good is pushing it.

To be fair, most of them are new and many haven't released any games yet, so it's too early to judge what the quality of their output will be.

This list simply shows that there will be some core next gen first party titles along with a fair range of casual, low budget and Kinect titles in the not too distant future.

Its safe to say they'll be launching a few hardcore IPs next gen, but won't necessarily mean thats what their focus will be, I reckon most of their studios are just working for nextgen Kinect games, apps and services.
