Forums - Gaming - what is the future of xbox first party

So i was looking at the exclusives list war this year and sony's list is tits.

But i was thinking, maybe ms is just smart to hold off their development for nextbox.

But then i started wondering, "what first party studios do they really have working on things?"

We know turn10 is probably working on new forza and 343 will work on a new halo... ensemble is gonw..rare is making kinect games...bungie is gone though might still be exclusive (we'll find out soon). what's left?

xbox's first party is its last party: everyone's gone. :P

Just kidding, I honestly have no idea but some people have high hopes for Rare's comeback in the non-casual arena. Other than that we'll have to wait for one of the 3 xbox fans on the site to answer ya.

They have numerous new first party studios working on new IP's for their next console. But all I really care about is Forza 5 that game is guaranteed to keep me entertained for 200+ plus hours.

I dunno, but don't they have more first party studios than either Sony or Nintendo now? I imagine they're all going nose to the grindstone for next gen, because they're sure as hell not releasing games on the 360.

i was thinking maybe they'd finally make killer instinct, but i think that was just a ploy for attention.
Seeing as how they're positioning themselves as a media center, celebrating their "transition" I'm personally not expecting any major forays into making games.

what are these studios and what have they made??

According to wiki:

Europe

Canada

So a fair few titles for next gen by the look of things. I suspect Sony first party are in the same boat.

Yeah, MS acquired or made a bunch of new studios recently. Seems like they are trying to provide more next gen. We will see what they can come up with, because it will probably center around a slew of new IPs until they find some good ones.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

We have no idea, we think new studios are working on new games but they can be just Kinect studios.

Microsoft is rich they can do how many studios they want, lets see if they will work hard or just dont give a sh**.
