I hate those other D-pads because of the fact you could accidentally hit two buttons at the same time or hit the wrong one because they were really close. What I ment by "really close" is if you look at the PS3 D pad the buttons on it are not touching eachother where as the pad on this PS4 concept controller are touching eachother. I prefer individual buttons for the pad. 

I haven't tried the Vita so I wouldn't know if it's better or not. I trust you though.

It looks like an improvement to me.

Directional arrows look like Vita ones. Personally I think this is good, more comfortable than Ds3 ones.
Analogs look like fingers won't slip out of them as easily.
Touchscreen replacing start/select. Good.
PS button / share stays. Good.
Speaker/mic built into controller? Cool.
Wish I could see more or R1/R2. Probably R2 triggers improved.
Seems nicer to hold.
What about that light colored area on top? Seems like Move?

Overall, if it were legit, I'd be happy with it.

Looks a little strange, but is it bigger than the current controller? I've never really liked any playstation controller cause they are always too small for my hands.

I am curious to know how the touchpad works. Maybe it will work like a mouse when browsing web like a laptop touchpad?

I mean if this is a tiny screen for some basic info..it will be like SEGA dreamcast controller

if it's a touch pad it will be like a vita

Either way if either of these scenarios are true those who were jumping the gun at the mere mention of a touch screen to a lolollecopiezofdawiiuz sure will look stupid
