My only problem is that it will drive up the cost of the console like the Controller Tablet does for the Wii U it alone costs about 170$.

No it won't, at least not by much.
Wii U pad costs nowhere near $170 btw

If you want to buy a gamepad alone it will retail at 175$ so far its only be available at retail in japan.

I mean if this is a tiny screen for some basic info..it will be like SEGA dreamcast controller

if it's a touch pad it will be like a vita

Either way if either of these scenarios are true those who were jumping the gun at the mere mention of a touch screen to a lolollecopiezofdawiiuz sure will look stupid

Of course, and Nintendo never copy either. Lol, makes me laugh. Where did they get the touch screen idea, at the toilet store?*

*Anchorman reference

I'm ashamed to say I have yet to watch that movie 0_0 I really should. Heard it's very funny

but yeah I remember when the initial touch screen rumor came up and it was filled with ninty fans going omg le copiez in it. I was one of those who pointed out it can take a much different form factor, have different functions, different goal behind the implimentation and so on..but nah. People let these console war stuff get into their heads too much. It's just gonna get uglier in the future I'm afraid. I mean look at the amount of butt hurt over kaz avatars 0_o

speaking of which I should try and kazify my avatar! LOL

I never said the 360 D-Pad was good. Neither are good, although the new switchable 360 D-Pad is decent. I said the four button Playstation D-Pad is stupid. I've never liked it. The best D-Pads are on the SNES, Sega Saturn, Genesis, PC Engine, NES, etc.

What do you mean the D-Pad on the PS4 controller are too close together. I honestly don't understand what you mean.

This is what a D-Pad is supposed to look like:

Not like this:

Look at the difference. There's a reason it has always been called the D-PAD and not D-Buttons.

The Playstation D-PAD IS a pad, they're not individual buttons, they're all connected underneath. It operates and feels the same as any other D-PAD.

"A trusted source has told IGN that this controller is real. However, our source notes that it's an early prototype. The controller, in other words, is likely to change between now and when the console launches."

I'd be highly surprised if that is exactly what is released at retail.

So in other words

so essentially:

50ft long living room required

Prototype peepz..the final product will be much polished and slicker. Heck not all of these ideas might make it to the final release even

Funny

and whats the vita like?  _____________

Really hate these "who copied who" crap debates, but its well known that Nintendo are the innovators mostly, while the competition slowly adopts it/tries to improve it to their liking.  Not acknowledging nintendo properly, is only bad for your mental health.

Looks decent and in line with rumors.

I wonder how much has changed though. Does it still have the Move style light? I know its added select/start buttons back... maybe just on the touch panel (why do some of you keep calling it a screen?). I also think the speaker/mic is awesome addition as its been nice in Wii and (w/ mic) in WiiU. Btw, you don't lose headsets people... you just gain convenience of both worlds.
