I'm quite interested, Jill doesn't look like such a dog in this game.

Also, I've completed Resident Evil 2 four times and I still don't know who Hunk is.

What about RE4? he's also there as an unlockable character in the mercenaries...

If you don't know Hunk then you probably never even heard of Tofu, right? :P

And I don't understand people saying this doesn't look better than the 3DS version :S

Oh yeah, I've seen him and played as him, I just don't really know who he is. Is he one of the mercenaries in the opening video of Resident Evil 2?

I've seen gameplay videos of Tofu.

It's an HD version of an SD game and they show an SD video. Awesome

I was actually referring to the images as opposed to the video. It's just going to be using the same assets, but upscaled. It'll look better come release, but not notably. Sorta like that PS3 Monster Hunter game ported from the PSP a while back.


Wrong, nearly everything getting remade to look better.



3DS on right, incase wasn't painfully obvious.  This is much more than simple porting and flicking on the HD switch.

Wow, that's a huge change! Surprised Capcom went all the way

If nothing else, the 3DS version certainly looks creepier lol.

if this was coming to Vita i would buy it. i have a big enough PS3 batlog and loads of games for it this year already. maybe il pick it up for £5 in a year or so

I have, still doesn't ring a bell. This guy looks like someone from that Raccoon City game.

 

Edit: to be fair, I haven't beaten RE2. I played all of the police department, the sewers and a good chunk of the research facility with the plant enemies.


I think you're too lazy to just Google it lol, but here's who he is.

In RE2 Umbrella sends 4 armed men to collect samples of the T-Virus and take the work out of the hands of Dr. William, who has created the virus. Something goes wrong and the men shoot the doctor. Before William dies, he injects himself with huge amounts of the T-Virus and becomes one of the monsters in RE2. After that he goes after his killers and butchers them one by one. Hunk is one of those men and he does not get killed, gets injured badly though.

If you finish the game with both Claire and Leon with a good enough score, you unlock Hunk and have to escort him out of the mansion that is now overrun with zombies, monsters and such. Hunk finally escpaes and delivers one of the samples to Umbrella, which is why we have RE4, 5 and 6 ;)

So in conclusion he is a very minor character to the story that everyone likes because he looks totally kewl. Got it.
