Have you never played RE2?

I have, still doesn't ring a bell. This guy looks like someone from that Raccoon City game.

 

Edit: to be fair, I haven't beaten RE2. I played all of the police department, the sewers and a good chunk of the research facility with the plant enemies.

I think you're too lazy to just Google it lol, but here's who he is.

In RE2 Umbrella sends 4 armed men to collect samples of the T-Virus and take the work out of the hands of Dr. William, who has created the virus. Something goes wrong and the men shoot the doctor. Before William dies, he injects himself with huge amounts of the T-Virus and becomes one of the monsters in RE2. After that he goes after his killers and butchers them one by one. Hunk is one of those men and he does not get killed, gets injured badly though.

If you finish the game with both Claire and Leon with a good enough score, you unlock Hunk and have to escort him out of the mansion that is now overrun with zombies, monsters and such. Hunk finally escpaes and delivers one of the samples to Umbrella, which is why we have RE4, 5 and 6 ;)

So in conclusion he is a very minor character to the story that everyone likes because he looks totally kewl. Got it.
