How did this happen?? Gearbox is usually such a quality studio. What gives?

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

What they giving the low score for, gameplay? Story?

Still going to get it because I LOVE the franchise, but Gearbox seems to lack the ability to ensure proper quality accross multiple titles.

Kind of what I expected, no dev team seems to be able to get an aliens or predator game right.

Gearbox pulled a Duke Nukem.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I'm starting to think reviewers are getting overcritical on shooters.

Reviewers are maybe over critical of shooters, but that's only because the general quality of AAA FPS's is very high.  When games are over hyped & under deliver, like Haze & Too Human did, they get slammed.

This seems to fall in line with those.

Just like AVP a couple years back. Same thing.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
