Many people keep saying software sales for the 3ds are low. Which to some extent is true but if we only look at the games of nintendo, we can truely see that there isn't that big of a difference compared to the previous generation. While franchises like nintendodogs, professor layton, brain age and new super mario bros are dying. Many other Nintendo franchises are rising in sales. Here is a list:

On track to sell more then it's predecessor(s):

-Super mario 3D land

-Animal crossing: New leaf

-Paper mario sticker stars

-Fire emblem Awakening

And you have new games like kid Icarus uprising  and a remake of OOT that both are in the millions.

Then you have NSMB2, which won't sell as much as it's predecessors, but it certainly will reach around 15-20M which is still a great achievement. Mario kart 7 as well is on track to sell around 15-20M LT.

In all serious though, I think Nintendo is doing a good job marketing their lesser known IP's. Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem have both had pretty good marketing pushes, and they have both done well. Nintendo should continue to establish their lesser known IPs

I think Steel Diver deserved more sales. Awesome game. Also, OoT sold almost 8 million on the 64. I don't think it did very well on the 3DS.

Layton is declining, but to be fair those sales have been declining since the first game.

What have you lived under a rock?  This ain't 2003/2004.

In a nutshell its a SJRPG set in a western medieval folklore. 

The combat revolves around the weapon trangle of sword>axe, axe>lance, and lance>sword, as well as magic (either anima/dark/light), mounted units (pegasus, dragons), and usually some sort of transformation beasts (usually dragons but has been others). 

It's also about leveling/promoting your characters and developing relationships/bonds between said characters.

The big thing though is perma death, once someone dies THEY DEAD FOREVER.  Which also brings into play its high diffculty.

For a remake, it did pretty well.

I'm happy with the trend. The more Fire Emblem sells the better. Hopefully it will sell enough to warrant an actual Fire Emblem game on the wiiu, you know... the reason i bought one. Not for Fire Emblem X generic japanese manga.

This, 3 million for a remake as opposed to 8 million for the first 3D entry into the series on the 64.
