Saying pre owned games should be banned is insane. Every single other industry in the world does pre owned.

You can go buy pre owned cars
You can go buy pre owned movies
You can go buy pre owned cds
You can buy pre owned clothes
You can buy pre owned electronics like tvs, consoles, blu ray players etc.

In fact you can buy nearly anything in the world pre owned. If console manufacturers go this route then its as anti consumer as it gets and one of the most anti consumer things ever done in any industry

True, but if they incorporate this on the next gen beasts to avoid costs rising and bankrupcy, and IF, and again, ONLY IF, the games are mind blowing amazing, them I don´t care that much. Whatever it takes to have the best experience.

I am not saying it has to be like that, I am just saying that it will not be the crucial aspect to me, the real crucial thing will be: ARE THE GAMES AMAZING OR NOT?

You also got an pre owned Minecraft?  or any Xbla game pre owned? No?  Then why is it a big deal when you would not get any pre owned retail games anymore?    I know you are scared about losing your job ..still...

I'm with you in that I don't think it would effect my experience that much (or at all since I always buy new to support devs), but I still think it is wrong for a console manufacturer to do.  I'm gonna buy the next playstation because of the awesome games that I know will come with that first party stable, but if they do this then it'll be a slap in the face to so many people they may be forced out of gaming.  Same deal with MS.

I personally would prefer backwards compatibility but I can also see the reason why it's not necessary. For me, I just don't want too many consoles connected and cluttering my living room.

Correct me if im wrong, but was it Playstation that started bring backwards compatibility? (From PS1 to PS2). Looking at the history of consoles maybe it was them that spoiled us with that feature. It's all because of the disc! We never had this problem when Nintendo and Sega had cartridges lol

Pretty much, yes. The second Atari generation had something... It kinda hapenned in the Mega Drive (Master System) and the Snes (Gameboy) when they released that Adapter thingy, but it was an acessory and all. But I guess Sony started with the PS2, wich doesn´t mean they have to keep doing, or that we HAVE to buy their new consoles...
