Forums - Sales - Ni no Kuni already tops half million units sold (will it reach 2 millions ?)

It's because of the console it's on.  Sony fanboys won't say it's kiddy, cause they wouldn't bash their own exclusive.  Nintendo fanboys can't really call anything kiddy.  Microsoft fanboys don't have a strong internet presence from my experience.  So the likely suspects who would normally bash things for no reason both have their hands tied.

I'd say it's just because it's a JRPG. As long as it's a traditional JRPG, it's exempt from being called "kiddy". I'm sure there is another camp in the comments section of Youtube calling the game "gay" though.

Max at a million. A 87 meta isn't much in today's standards.

If Fire Emblem doesn't reach 1 mil and this game does I swear I'll start ripping my hair out.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Fire Emblem will reach 1 mil for sure. It's already at 500k in Japan. Past FE titles sold as much in the U.S. as they did in Japan.

You can keep your hair on your head lol.

Why would you rip your hair out just because one JRPG could possibly do better than another?

Would you rather have them both not break a million?

As always...I recommend you guys wait for NPD so you're not disappointed.

What's the usual difference between VGC and NPD numbers? What do you reckon we're looking at as a worst case scenario?

short answer: No.
long answer: Hell no.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I think it is overtracked, nonetheless I still think it will reach 900k-1.1m. Depends on next gen impact.

A million would be nice.

There is no usual difference, but often times when it looks like niche game sales are too good to be true, they most likely are just that.
Furthermore the US seems to be overtracked every week.

Persona 4 The Golden was almost 100k overtracked. The latest JRPG example and since February is an extremely slow month it should definitely chart, making it easier for us to say if it's under/overtracked or just right even without NPD leaks.

100k overtracked? What were the original numbers VGC predicted? Were they FW sales?
